For a graphic design course, tasked with designing two posters that would serve to promote two fictitious art exhibitions at the El Paso Museum of Art. Incorporating elements from the southwestern/El Paso culture.
The first, was inspired by the Anatomy of a Murder movie poster (directed by Alfred Hitchcock), designed by Saul Bass. Integrated the 70s iconic private investigator Jay J Armes. (Suffering an accident as a child, Armes was left with hooks for hands.)
The second poster emulates Henri Toulouse-Lautrec’s Moulin Rouge poster. Instead of having can-can dancers, I incorporated mariachi and Mexican folkloric dancers.
