Luisana Duarte is currently a graduate student at Simmons College in Boston pursuing a dual MA in Children’s Literature and MFA in Writing for Children. She has a background in both print and web graphic design. She did her undergrad at UTEP (The University of Texas at El Paso) and is proud to call herself a miner.
Luisana was born in Nuevo Casas Grandes, a small town in Chihuahua, about two and a half hours from Ciudad Juárez (where she grew up). Living on the border with El Paso, Texas allowed her to get the best of both worlds. However, she is truly in love with Boston.
